gidle Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
Introduction
Trozl ("we," "our," or "us") makes gidle, a game for Android and Windows. This Privacy Policy explains what information gidle collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to gidle on Google Play and on Steam. Our website is covered by our general Privacy Statement at trzl.gg/privacy.
gidle has no accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location.
Information the game collects
- An install identifier: a random code created when you first open the game. It identifies your copy of the game, not you, and is not linked to your name or email. You can see and copy it in Settings.
- Gameplay analytics: events such as sessions, tutorial steps, milestones, store visits, purchases, Quintessence spent, and rewarded ads watched, together with the game version, platform, store, device class, operating system version, a session identifier, and the version of the game's configuration. Analytics is on by default and you can turn it off in Settings; turning it off also discards events not yet sent.
- Purchases: the product, quantity, state, and the store's transaction token, which we send to Google Play or Steam to verify the purchase and to handle refunds. Payments are handled by Google Play or Steam; we never receive your card or bank details.
- Feedback reports, only when you choose to send one from the game: your message, a screenshot of the game, the recent game log, your save file, your device model and operating system version, and the game version.
- Technical data needed to deliver requests: our hosting providers process your IP address to connect the game to our servers, and may keep it briefly in server logs. We do not store it in our game databases.
Your save file is kept on your device. It is sent to us only inside a feedback report you choose to send.
Advertising
On Android, gidle offers optional rewarded ads from Google AdMob: an ad plays only when you press a button to watch one for a reward. The Google Mobile Ads SDK collects your device's advertising ID, your approximate location (derived from your IP address), ad interactions, and diagnostic information, and Google uses this data as described in its policies (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we ask for your consent through Google's consent message before personalized ads are shown; you can still watch ads without consenting, and they will not be personalized.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your Android device settings. A one-time purchase that removes ads stops ads from being shown.
How we use information
- To run the game: deliver purchases, verify them, apply refunds, and send game configuration.
- To understand how the game is played and improve its balance, performance, and stability.
- To investigate and fix the problems you report.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, such as fake purchases or modified clients.
- To show rewarded ads you choose to watch, through Google AdMob.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles of our own.
Who we share information with
We share information only with providers that help us run the game, and only for that purpose:
- Hosting and database providers, which run our servers and store analytics, purchase records, and feedback reports.
- Google (Google Play billing and AdMob) and Valve (Steam), for purchases and, on Android, ads.
- Service providers that help us review feedback reports and track the problems they describe.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our players, ourselves, or others.
How long we keep information
- Analytics linked to an install identifier: 90 days. After that we keep only totals, such as daily player counts, that do not identify any install.
- Feedback reports: as long as we need them to investigate and fix what they report. The screenshot, game log, and save file sent with a report are deleted automatically 180 days after you send it, unless we are still working on the problem it reports.
- Purchase records: as long as needed to verify purchases, handle refunds, and meet legal and tax obligations.
Your choices and rights
- Turn analytics off in Settings at any time.
- Feedback reports are sent only when you choose to send one.
- Manage ad consent and your advertising ID as described under Advertising.
- Uninstalling the game deletes the save file and settings on your device.
- Ask us to delete what we hold about your copy of gidle: email us the install identifier shown in Settings (see Contact Us below). We delete the feedback reports sent from it, with their screenshots, logs, and save files, and the analytics linked to it. We keep totals that do not identify any install, and purchase records we must keep to handle refunds and meet legal and tax obligations.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have further rights, such as to object to processing or to complain to a data protection authority. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in running and improving the game, on performing the purchase you asked for, and on your consent for personalized ads.
Children
gidle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and international transfers
All data the game sends is encrypted in transit. Our providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries; where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when gidle gains a feature that uses data differently or when its name changes. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date, and we will tell you in the game before a change that affects how we use information you have already given us.
